Semester 1 of VLC will run from September 9th, 2025 to December 16th, 2025. The format will be one evening per week and one Saturday per month.

1) Prayer and Devotion - The goal would be that over the course of the school year, students’ prayer and devotional life becomes not only consistent, but vibrant.  They will read through the whole Bible during the year and have devotionals that correspond with where they are in the reading. Moreover, on the Saturdays, a portion of each of those days will involve corporate prayer and worship.

2) Mentorship - Each student will be paired up with a member of our staff/leadership team to have intentional mentoring on a monthly bases.

3) Practical Ministry Experience - Students will rotate on through different ministries in the church; learning to carry some weight and responsibility.  Where possible, we will match them with an area of passion and need, but overall, we would like for them to get a well-rounded handle on what the life of the church really feels like.

4) Doctrinal Study - College-level courses will be taught on the Tuesday nights and then qualified speakers in specific fields for the Saturdays.  Courses will include Basic Doctrine, Bible Survey, a Character development course, and approximately 4 book studies.  This involves quizzes, papers and exams.

5) Missions - the students will participate in a cross-cultural missions trip
